The vibrational structure of NO+(X 1Σ+) from charge-exchange mass spectrometry

Abstract:Charge-exchange mass spectrometry has been used to detect the first five vibrationl levels of the electronic ground-state ion NO?(X 1Σ?). The absolute charge-exchange cross sections between thermal NO gas and 33 positive ions of 10 eV kinetic energy are given.
