Transformation of polymers under the action of mechanical forces

The chemical processes that occur during the processing of polymer materials under the action of mechanical forces are discussed. The chemical modification and blending of polymers in an extruder reactor are considered. Factors that affect the mechanism of dynamic vulcanization and the properties of thermoplastic elastomers are identified. Reactions of formations of statistical, block, and graft copolymers under intensive mechanical action are analyzed.
