Abstract: | The new trinuclear complex K{(CoTpt-Bu)Fe(CN)6](CoTpt-Bu)}, in which the initial structural fragments are linked by CN− bridges, was synthesized by the directed stitching of mononuclear complexes, one of which was Fe(CN)6]3− while the other was cobalt(II) tris(3-tert-butyl-l-pyrazolyl)borate ((CoTpt-Bu)]+). The magnetic moment of K{(CoTpt-Bu)Fe(CN)6](CoTpt-Bu)} at 292 K was 8.07 μβ (S=7/2), indicating the absence of antiferromagnetic exchange interactions in the trinuclear complex.
