Abstract: | A free-radical substitution for the chlorine atoms with the 1,4-dioxan-2-yl fragment in the tris-dichloro-substituted dioximate iron(II) clathrochelate is accompanied by the oxidative dioxane ring opening as a side process. The compound obtained was characterized by elemental analysis data, 1D and 2D 1H and 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopy (in solution), MALDI TOF mass spectrometry, as well as by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. |
