| Abstract: | Resonant Raman Scattering by LO phonons is analysed to obtain a relationship between allowed and forbidden cross sections. The complete expression for the forbidden Raman amplitude induced by the Fröhlich interaction is then used to obtain its dependence on the phonon wave vector with CdS parameters. Comparison with a previous experimental and theoretical work is performed. |
