| Abstract: | The high value and the negative dispersion of the plasmon linewidth in Li at low k, previously believed to be due to grain boundary scattering of very small crystallites, is shown to be caused by interband transitions whose strength depends on the magnitude of the first pseudopotential coefficients. |
