Facile Synthesis of Furan-3,4-diacetates |

| Abstract: | A procedure for bis-cyclopropanation of furans with ethyl diazoacetate or methyl α-diazopropionate under dirhodium-tetraacetate catalysis is presented. Treatment of the products with ethanolic HCl furnished furan-3,4-diacetates. |
