Abstract: | At one special temperature, the equilibrium statistical mechanics of a classical two-dimensional one-component plasma can be worked out exactly. This model is used for computing the density profile and the two-body correlation function for three kinds of electrified interfaces: charge particles attracted by a charged plate, charged particles near the permeable boundary of a semiinfinite background, charged particles near the interface between two backgrounds of different densities. Sum rules are discussed. |
