| Abstract: | The preparation and spectroscopic characterization of S7X+MF?6 (X = CN, OCN, SCN, SeCN; M = As, Sb) is reported. The new compounds are formed in analogy to the preparation of halidocycloheptrasulfur(+1) cations from S2+8(MF?6)2 and alkali pseudohalides in So2 as solvent. Their thermal stabilities decrease with the increasing Pearson hardness of the pseudohalide ligands. |
