| Abstract: | The reactions of sulphur with phosphine and phosphite were investigated by low-energy electron impact mass spectrometry and fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry. A previously reported mechanism of the Ph3P–S8 reaction was supported and a possible mechanism for the (PhO)3P–S8 reaction is proposed. |
