Abstract: | A new fluorescent sensor 1 based on the rhodamine amide-armed homotrioxacalix3]arene was synthesized, and its sensing behavior toward metal ions was investigated by UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. Upon the addition of metal cations (Sb3+, Fe3+, Ni2+), a significant fluorescent enhancement in the range of 500–600 nm and colorimetric change was observed. |
