Abstract: | We study the possibilities of determining the antenna guidance accuracy based on radio-astronomical observation data and using two main assumptions, namely, that the variance of the measured signal increases with respect to the variance of a signal from the reference region when a discrete source of radiation is observed and that the distribution of measured points is nonsymmetric with respect to the mean value. We develop a model and numerically simulate the nonuniform motion of the antenna during the source tracking and study the influence of such a motion on characteristics of the received signals. Results of experimental verification of the proposed method are presented. __________ Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Radiofizika, Vol. 49, No. 1, pp. 1–8, January 2006. |
