A convenient method for the synthesis of 2,3-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxalines

A method for the synthesis of substituted 2,3-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxalines by the reduction of substituted (o-nitrophenyl)glycines with subsequent oxidation of the 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline products has been developed.
