| Abstract: | The quenching of thioindigo flourescence by hexamethylbenzene and durene in solvents of low polarity is accompanied by exciplex emission. The exciplex formation and dissociation rate constants and its photophysical properties are determined. Thiondigo photoisomerization can proceed via exciplex formation. |
