Abstract: | The photoluminescent intensity of a molecule near a dielectric interface has been investigated theoretically as a function of separation between the molecule and interface. The intensity is expressed by means of functions which have been derived previously. Numerical results have been calculated for the case of a luminescent coating near a semiconductor surface; these results are compared with recent experimental data on tetracene fluorescence near Si and GaAs surfaces. |
