| Abstract: | Rate constants of singlet oxygen quenching by glycyrrhetic acid, glycyrrhizic acid, isoliquiritigenin, licurazide,d-glucose, andl-arabinose were determined. An increase in the quenching rate constants by more than an order of magnitude is observed on going from aglycone to the corresponding glycoside.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
