Two hederagenin glycosides — medicosides E and F — have been isolated from the roots ofMedicago sativa L. (Leguminosae). Medicoside E has the structure of hederagenin 28-O--D-glucopyranoside 3-O-O--G-glucopyranosyl-(13)--D-xylopyranoside].
