Volume pulsations of gas bubbles in a liquid |

| Abstract: | When a bubble of vapor in a superheated liquid is disturbed, it does not grow steadily but continuously pulsates. The pulsations are damped, the decrement depending on the relative evaporation or condensation rate. The authors explain the sound emitted by the bubbles. |
