| Abstract: | This Letter describes an enantioselective approach to (−)-platencin. A uniquely functionalized chiral intermediate, which was prepared via the highly enantioselective catalytic asymmetric intramolecular cyclopropanation (CAIMCP) that we have developed, was successfully transformed to Nicolaou’s intermediate in his total synthesis of (−)-platencin. |
