| Abstract: | A convenient one-pot synthesis of fluorine-containing 1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines was described. Fluoroalkylated enaminoketones reacted readily with primary amines and formalin (37% formaldehyde solution) under mild conditions to give the title compounds in high yields. α-Amino acids were introduced into tetrahydropyrimidine rings for the first time by this reaction. |
