A simple and highly efficient synthesis of N-phenyl-2-polyfluoroalkyl-4-quinolones from 2-anilinoacetophenone and R_FCO₂Et

Abstract:	The condensation of 2-anilinoacetophenone with R_FCO₂Et (R_F = CF₂H, CF₃, C₂F₅) in the presence of LiH in THF affords the corresponding N-phenyl-2-polyfluoroalkyl-4-quinolones in excellent yields.
