Abstract:Based on tension fatigue,compression fatigue,bending moment fatigue and torsion fatigue test at low temperature,the performances of ITER axial insulation breaks were evaluated.At the same time,the mechanical integrities were detected,such as helium tightness and PASCHEN discharge.The test results show that,after sixty thousand mechanical fatigue cycles,the maximum helium leakage rate is less than 6.0×10-10Pa.m3/s during 4MPa inner pressure at liquid nitrogen,the maximum leakage current is less than 15μA during 56kV occurring approximately 100Pa helium gas pressure to meet the design requirements of ITER insulation breaks during the working life of the ITER device.
