| Abstract: | Ansa-cyclodextrins were obtained in high yields by reaction of sodium sulfide with A,B-di- or A,B,D,E-tetramesylated alpha-CD precursors; the resulting thiocavitands are suitable for forming nanotubular molecules, as well as for hosting metal-organic fragments. |
