SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF IMINOCARBOXYLIC CHELATING FIBERS

In this paper,fibrous chelating exchangers with-N(CH2COOH)2 group have been prepared for the first time by a weakly basic anion exchange fiber (aminated fiber)as the starting materials.The fibers were quite effective for the adsorption of heavy metal ion such as Cu^2+.In addition,IR spectrum of the structure of fibers confirms that it is feasible to prepare iminocarboxylic chelating fiber through direct carboxylation reaction.
