Abstract:A parameter, the product of viscosity of the suspension medium and applied shear rate, is introduced to describe the effect of temperature on the rheological properties of suspensions, considering the mechanism of agglomeration in suspensions. It is found that, by plotting rheograms of the shear stress versus this parameter, a single master curve can be obtained independently of temperature. The dependence of viscosity on temperature and the flow of suspensions are shown to be well described.
