| Abstract: | Zusammenfassung Die Bestimmung von Kohlenwasserstoffen im Konzentrationsbereich von 1–100  g/l wird vor allem im Rahmen des Gewässerschutzes zunehmend notwendig. Die in der Literatur beschriebene IR-Methode reicht in der allgemein angewendeten Form nicht bis in diesen Bereich hinein. Durch Modifizierung der Probenaufbereitung und der Meßtechnik läßt sich auf zwei Wegen eine Reduzierung der Erfassungsgrenze auf 1–6 g/l, d.h. um den Faktor 5–10 bei gleicher Fehlerbreite, erzielen.
Quantitative determination of hydrocarbons (Paraffins) in the microgram range by way of IR-spectroscopy The determination of hydrocarbons in the range of concentrations from 1 to 100 g/l is becoming a growing necessity expecially in the field of pollution abatement. In its generally practised form, the IR-method described in literature is not suited for covering the said range. However, modifications in sample preparation and measuring technique allow an extension in two ways of the practicable range down to 1–6 g/l, i. e., a reduction of the coverage limit by a factor of 5 to 10, with no change in the error margin. |
