A highly selective method for the synthesis of phenylacetaldehyde

Abstract:Phenylacetaldehyde is synthesized in high yield by isomerization of styrene oxide and by dehydratation of styrene glycol in gas phase using H-ZSM-5 zeolite, Silicalite and silica gels as catalysts.
