Photon and phonon statistics of Brillouin scattering

Abstract:The statistical properties for the couples of modes in Brillouin scattering are derived making use of the coherent state technique. Assuming the initial fields to be coherent, it is shown that periodical antibunching, bunching as well as coherent state behaviour can occur, provided that the anti-Stokes interaction prevails.
