Abstract:Concentration dependent spectra and fluorescence lifetime of the upperstate 2Eg of Ti3 ion in Ti doped sapphire crystal were measurement at room temperature withthe doping level from 0. 03 to 0. 445 wt-% Ti2O3. Critical concentration of 1. 6wt- % Ti2O3,ac corresponding to a criterion of a degradation of quantum efficiency to 50%, was calculated. using Fosrster-Dexter theory of resonance energy transfer and in agreement with our experimental data.
