Concerning experiments on coherent transition radiation by relativistic electrons

It is shown that the macroscopic transverse dimensions of the target can strongly influence the spectrum of transition radiation emitted by relativistic electrons in thin layers of matter and that the effect is extremely important in experiments on coherent transition radiation in the infrared.
