Abstract:Glass-transition temperatures of compatible PVME/PS blends show, beside the well-known composition dependence, a predominant influence of the molecular weight of the blend components, mainly that of PS. This influence can be reproduced by an extended Gordon-Taylor equation only. The values, however, of the parameters of the extended Gordon-Taylor equation show molecular specific correlations.
