Abstract: | In this paper, a dynamic failure model in ductile materials under the action of a mean tensile stress is developed. The model proposed takes into account nucleation and growth of void as part of the failure process under dynamic loading conditions. In the evolution of porosity , work-hardening behavior and rate-dependent effects are included. Numerical simulations of aluminum, aluminum alloy and OFHC copper spallation processes are performed.
