Isomérie de rotation et spectres de vibration du chlorure et du bromure d'allyle

Abstract:Infrared and Raman spectra (3500-30 cm−1) of the allyl halides (chloride and bromide) in the vapor, liquid and solid states were obtained. From the data obtained in the vitreous phase at −180 °C, vibrational assignments for each isomer, cis and gauche, are proposed. The energy difference between the two isomers of allyl chloride was found to be approximatively 500 cal. The potential barrier of these compounds in the gaseous state has been calculated from the torsional frequencies.
