Abstract: | Results of valence electron SCF-MO calculations in the INDO approximation predict a value of 102° for the apex angle of C2v-‘V’ structure of B2O3, assuming bond lengths obtained from electron diffraction work. Calculated results for the dipole moment are reported and electron population analysis is used to discuss bonding. |
