| Abstract: | Convenient and facile syntheses of 12H-benzoa]xanthenes from 2-tetralone and 2-hydroxyaromatic aldehydes is described. 2-Tetralone reacted with 2-hydroxyarylaldehydes to yield 12H-benzoa]xanthenes under acidic conditions. |
