| Abstract: | Fe-pillared bentonite (Fe-PILC) was shown to be an extremely efficient catalyst for the sulfonylation of activated as well as unactivated carbocyclic aromatic compounds and heterocyclic aromatic compounds. The catalyst was also found to be recyclable. |
