Infinite-dimensional representations of the Einstein group

The representations of the general linear group GL(4.R) are described. This group corresponds to the space-time transformations discussed in the general theory of relativity. Besides the well-known tensor representations, the group is also characterized by infinite-dimensional representations with integral and half-integral spins.
