| Abstract: | The dynamic kinetic resolution in the synthesis of alkyl N-acetylphenylalanyl (S)-valinates was studied by the mixed anhydride method. The structure of the ester group of the amino component appeared to
exert no substantial effect on the diastereoselectivity of the reaction.
