| Abstract: | This paper suggests a method about the "open boundary condition" to calculate numerically the wave propagation in an infinite region. With this method it is not necessary to define the direction of wave propagation on the artificial boundary. The direction of wave propagation at undetermined boundary points is defined by directions of the wave propagation at boundary points and neighbouring inner points.The numerical test proves that this open boundary condition can absorb the wave propagation from the inner region without obvious reflection which satisfies the radiation condition. |
