Structural studies of diamine complexes of cobalt(II) and nickel(II) thiocyanates and selenocyanates

Summary Complexes of the types ML₂X₂ M = cobalt(II) or nickel(II); L = hydrazine, ethylenediamine (en) or o-phenylenediamine (opd) and X = SCN^– or SeCN^–] and NiL₂(NCS)₂MCl₂ M = cadmium(II) or mercury(II)] have been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, molar conductance, molecular weight determination, magnetic susceptibility, electronic and i.r. spectral measurements.
