Synthetic analogs of natural flavolignans. III. Synthesis of 6-carboxy-1,3-benzodioxane analogs of silandrin and hydnocarpin

Chalcones containing a 6-carboxy-1,3-benzodioxane fragment and, from them, flavanone and flavone analogs of silandrin and hydnocarpin have been synthesized.
