| Abstract: | With the aid of an ultrasonic irradiation, meso-amidinophenyl substituted porphyrins were prepared by the reaction of lithium amide and meso-cyanophenyl porphyrins. This approach can give the derivatized porphyrins in very high yields and very short reaction times as compared to the conventional thermal method. |
