| Abstract: | In this communication, we report the synthesis of the first examples of terminally thiol-functionalized alkoxycyanobiphenyls. The thermal behaviour of these mesogens and their intermediates was investigated by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffractometry. |
