Abstract:Helicobacter pylori is one of the most common pathogens of chronic human infections and is commonly responsible for a wide range of digestive and non-digestive diseases. H. pylori has been shown to form biofilms on a variety of surfaces, including host gastric mucosal surfaces, glands and abiotic surfaces. Increased drug resistance and recurrence of infection have been linked to the action of the biofilm. In this article, we introduce the formation of H. pylori biofilm and its structural characteristics. The article also reviews the factors influencing the formation of H. pylori. The article is aimed to provide a method and reference for the study of the mechanism of H. pylori biofilm, in order to serve the prevention and treatment of infection in clinical settings.
