| Abstract: | In the light of basic law of geometrical optics, the optical properties of two infrared luminotrons with different contours are analyzed and studied in general. They are compared by practical calculation from the equivalent luminous point , usable optical energy, focussing performance and applied situation, so as to guide the optical design. Suggestion for improvement is put forward. |
