Abstract:Corona noise position is high and scattered, and its frequency bandwidth is wide. This makes it different from the noise of traditional electrical equipment. This paper takes a 750kV substation in Northwest China as an example, 36 main corona noise points have been located using an ultraviolet imager. Based on the noise measurement and the sound field simulation analysis of the whole station, the influence of corona noise is studied. Specific measures to prevent and control corona noise are proposed for the main corona points. The treatment measures have been practically applied in the substation. After treatment, the noise under bus I is reduced by 1.1dB(A) on average, and the noise at the nearby plant boundary is reduced by 3.3dB(A) on average.
