Abstract: | Fluorinated vinylstannanes have attracted much interest in recent years because they provided a useful and convenient methodology for the introduction of monofluoro, difluoro, trifluoro or polyfluoro functionality into organic molecules with retention of configuration, particularly in the synthesis of fluorine-containing naturally occurring compounds. The new methodologies discussed in this review are, therefore, potentially useful in organic synthesis particularly in the medicinal and agricultural chemistry for the synthesis of fluorine-containing biologically active compounds. |
