Abstract:	The absolute stereostructures of two pentacyclic hydroquinones, halenaguinol ( $1$ ) and halenaquinol sulfate ( $2$ ) from the Okinawan marine sponge Xestospongia sapra, have been determined by means of theoretical calculation of CD spectra.
