Determination of Brillouin Scattering Modes |

| Abstract: | Abstract Brillouin scattering tensors along the arbitrary direction in a plane of crystal with 4mm point group were calculated. According to their relationship with Brillouin scattering intensity, quasi longitudinal, quasi transverse and pure transverse modes were determined, respectively. The method was tested well in Brillouin scattering spectrum of BaTiO 3. |
