Stability and bifurcation of a human respiratory system model with time delay

Abstract:The stability and bifurcation of the trivial solution in the two_dimensional differential equation of a model describing human respiratory system with time delay were investigated. Formulas about the stability of bifurcating periodic solution and the direction of Hopf bifurcation were exhibited by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem.Furthermore,numerical simulation was carried out.
